The Descent

He scrubbed sleep from his eyes; surprised two plus hours had passed since take off. Flight crew purposefully supervised safety and cleaned before landing. He tried to stretch in an attempt to work the knots out of his six foot frame. Futile, when the legroom was better suited to a 12 year old.

Through the scratchy tin can PA, Captain Mark announced the final approach. Ray wondered if the harried mom would get everyone strapped in. Hearing popped in and out with the descent. Bump, rumble as wheels touch tarmac. Duffle retrieved, relief blew him into the San Antonio heat.

    I love the image of him being blown into the heat. I can picture it, heat waves radiating off the tarmac.

    The first paragraph is a little choppy. Extra punctuation, maybe a missing word or wrong tense? Just needs a quick edit I think
